Information:
The staircase is located in Heal’s flagship store and is illuminated by a Bocci chandelier. This chandelier consists of 64 hand blown glass orbs which cascade from the ceiling. The chandelier was designed by Omer Arbel. The helical staircase was designed by Cecil Brewer and was completed with the central part of the building in 1917.

Ambrose Heal had worked in the company as a craftsman and designer before becoming the chairman of Heal’s in 1893. Heal had commissioned the construction of the central part of the current building on Tottenham Court Road and it was his cousin, Cecil Brewer, who designed it.
